This week the whole casino industry was shocked by the news of Genesis Global´s suspended UKGC license.
At first even the company did not seem the know what the reason was when I contacted them. But as you know, nothing stays hidden too long and UKGC does not such things without a reason.
It turned out that the licence was suspended because there were suspicions of breaching the license terms.
One of the breached sections goes like this: “activities may have been carried on, in purported reliance on the licence but not in accordance with a condition of the licence”
Obviously Genesis is not happy about this decision and they have decided to appeal againts it.
They even said that they had been going through a very similar routine check up before and passed, but this time UKGC decided to have a closer look up and suspend their license while doing so.
It still remains unknown, what was this activity, that was not in accordance with a condition of the license.
However, appealing in this matter does not mean the Genesis Global would be suing UKGC, but it actually means that they will everything they can to get their license back up.
In action this means a close cooperation with the UKGC officials as well as checking every details in their own system as well.
What this means for casino players in the UK, is that you can´t play on any of the following sites until further notice:
Quite many of their brands are actually new casinos, but as mentioned, they do not have to shut the casinos as they still hold the license from MGA, which means that players from Finland (online pelikasinot) other countries can still play on their sites.
