Some are worried about the affect of the new gambling rules in the UK, however meanwhile in Sweden the regulations might be on another level.
Spelinspektionen, the Swedish gambling regulator has suggested some new regulations for Swedish players and this is how it looks like:
Players would be allowed to play only up to £500 per week and they would be allowed to get bonuses only up to £10.
It is true that these numbers are very low, compared to other countries such as UK. In the UK at the moment only credit card gambling is prohibited and bonuses are not limited.
Some casinos in Sweden, such as Videoslots, have shown their concerns about these new suggestions. Obviously, these regulations would be to protect the players, however, it only might lead to a situation, where the players who need the most help, would only head towards the black markets, where there are no regulations in place at all.
These new regulations will be discussed on the 7th of May in Sweden.
GIG has announced their Q1 2020 revenue, which was 31.1 million euros. There was a 4% drop from last year.
As GIG sold all its own casinos to Betsson last year and decided to focus on B2B sales, it is no wonder that the revenue of B2B increased by 11% to 12.7 million euros.
