Mr Green Ltd is the operator of Mr Green Casino, launched in 2008 under the guise of a mysterious man in a green suit with an umbrella and bowler hat. A Short History of Mr Green
Mr Green & Co AB was formed in 2007 in Stockholm, Sweden, by Mikael Pawlo, and two co-founders of Betsson, Fredrik Sidfalk and Henrik Bergquist. The instantly recognisable Mr Green is designed to portray an image of gentlemanly conduct and conjure thoughts of fairness, integrity, responsibility, and a disciplined, well-mannered approach.
In 2013, a TV advertising campaign put the charismatic character in front of millions as a dashing casino adventurer, inviting players to pay a visit. Following the successful build of the brand, the company listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm in 2016 and expanded its product portfolio with the addition of the Mr Green Sportsbook in the same year.
In a deal powered by sports betting platform provider, Kambi Group Plc, the CEO of Mr Green & Co AB at the time, Per Norman, stated:

2018 saw the company change its name to MRG, and finalise the acquisition of Evoke Gaming Ltd, including the gaming sites Redbet, Vinnarum Casino, Bertil and MamaMiaBingo. Less than a year later, in January 2019, William Hill PLC acquired MRG for £242 million, moving the company to Sliema, Malta. Founded in 1934, William Hill is one of the oldest betting companies in the world.
